Sample questions and solutions for temperature converting. These samples are for converting between the kelvin and celcius, celcius and reamur, and fahrenheit thermometer.
Question 1
a) 127 °C = ....K
b) 1000 K =......°C
Solution
To convert from kelvin to celcius substract 273.
To convert from celcius to kelvin add 273
So then
a) 127 °C = (127 + 273) = 400 K
b) 1000 K = (1000 − 273) = 727 °C
Question 2
Convert the temperatures below:
a) 50° C =.....°F
b) 68° F =......° C
Solution
a) 50° C =.....°F
So then the calculation
b) 68° F =......° C
So then
